The Beachwood Athletic Boosters Athletic Scholarship will be awarded to student athletes (one male, one female - if criteria is met) who personify ideals consistent with the Boosters mission of: "Promote the growth and success of the Beachwood City Schools Athletics while encouraging school and community spirit".
Applicant must have earned a varsity letter in at least one sport, to be verified by the Athletic Director. Applicant or his/her family must be a paid member of the Boosters for the current school year prior to this scholarship application being submitted. Applicants must have at least a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
Every qualified applicant will be considered regardless of the total financial need. Criteria must include:
A typed essay indicating why you deserve this scholarship and what Beachwood Athletics has meant to you during your years at Beachwood. How have you made a difference for the Beachwood Athletic Department? What impact was made on you from the Beachwood Athletics? Explain the impact and contribution you have made on your teammates, coaches, school and community.
Nomination letter of recommendation composed and typed by a teammate and/or a Head Coach indicating why you are deserving of the Beachwood Athletic Booster Scholarship.
GPA confirmed by the Beachwood Athletic Department.
