Beachwood School Board Reappoints Leaders

January 17, 2023

Megan Walsh and Jillian DeLong were unanimously reappointed Beachwood City Schools Board president and vice president, respectively, during the annual organizational meeting Jan. 10.

Walsh has served on the Board since January 2019; DeLong has served since January 2020. This will be the second year for each in their current leadership positions.

The Board also appointed member Wendy Leatherberry as the OSBA legislative liaison; member Kim Allamby as the OSBA student achievement liaison; and Jillian DeLong as the liaison to the District’s audit committee.

After taking the oath of office, Walsh reflected on the past year, which resulted in the development of an elementary facilities master plan created with input from hundreds of Beachwood residents and stakeholders.

“We did a lot in terms of listening to the community,” Walsh said. “We continue to have that as a priority as we move forward.”
