Board Honors Seal of Biliteracy Recipients

The Beachwood Board of Education recognized students who earned the Seal of Biliteracy from the 2022-2023 school year at its regular meeting held August 14. To earn the Seal of Biliteracy, junior and senior students must score at the proficient level on the state English Language Arts assessments and an approved world language assessment. 


Beachwood Schools warmly congratulates the following students who earned the Seal of Biliteracy:

Somerlyn Hollimon (Spanish)

Maxwell Kuenzler (Spanish)

Alexis Mercado (Spanish)

Probir Mukerjee (Spanish)

Shalev Ost (Hebrew)

Ozan Sasmaz (Turkish)

Veronica Schwartz (Spanish)

Dhruv Seth (Chinese)

Allen Yu (Spanish)

Anna Zhao (Chinese)


Since 2018, 120 students have earned this honor in eight different languages: Spanish, Chinese, Hebrew, Korean, Arabic, Urdu, German, and Turkish. Seal of Biliteracy testing for this upcoming school year will occur in May.
