Our Bison Staff Spotlight this week features Tyler Wright, a kindergarten teacher at Bryden Elementary. She began her teaching career in Beachwood Schools five years ago after completing her student teaching and practicum at Hilltop Elementary.
Her favorite part of working in Beachwood Schools is the diversity and multiculturalism that students and families bring to the classroom. Miss Wright looks forward to Featured Fridays, a Bryden tradition in which family members visit the classroom to share stories and traditions from their culture.
“I love learning about my students' cultures and celebrations,” said Miss Wright.
As an educator, Miss Wright’s strengths include differentiating instruction to meet each child’s needs. This involves getting to know every student, understanding their strengths and uncovering what will help them learn and grow. She also is skilled at creating a nurturing classroom environment that helps kindergarteners learn independence, stay organized, and self-monitor their learning.
One of her greatest joys is creating a positive, caring community, which lays the foundation for instilling in students a lifelong love of learning.
“As a kindergarten teacher, I love helping students build relationships and care for each other,” she said.
