Dear Beachwood Community:
The 2013-2014 school year will bring changes in leadership to each of Beachwood City Schools' individual buildings. The reassignments of principals reflect careful thought and represent the best means of assigning principals' talents to address district needs.
As many of you know, Bryden Elementary School Principal Christi Bernetich is retiring at the end of the current school year. Beginning this summer, the principals' assignments will be according to the following list:
- Bryden Principal - Mrs. Sherry Miller
- Hilltop Principal/District OTES* Coordinator - Mrs. Linda LoGalbo
- Beachwood Middle School Principal - Mr. Paul Chase
- Beachwood High School Principal - Mr. Ed Klein
- Beachwood High School Assistant Principal - To Be Posted
I believe that this reassignment of principals will promote growth in programs that are already strong. Mrs. Miller has an established reputation as a talented educational leader with an endorsement in the area of Early Childhood Education. Mrs.LoGalbo has a proven track record of success as a middle school principal. Her reassignment to a position with associated Central Office responsibilities will benefit our entire district's instructional programming. Mr. Chase was a middle school teacher prior to serving the last six years as high school assistant principal. He has a well-deserved reputation as a fair, responsive, and thoughtful leader.
Each will work at her/his new buildings for portions of the summer in anticipation of the upcoming school year. We will schedule open houses so that you and your students can become acquainted with them prior to the start of school in the fall.
Thank you for all that you do to support our schools. The 2013-2014 school year held many opportunities and successes for Beachwood's students. We look forward to even more such experiences in the upcoming school year.
