Dr. Robert Hardis
Dr. Hardis has worked for Beachwood City Schools since 2006, spending six years as Beachwood High School principal and three years as assistant superintendent. Prior to his hiring in Beachwood, Dr. Hardis served as assistant principal at Marlborough High School in Massachusetts and as a social studies teacher in New York City Public Schools and Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland. Before entering the field of public education, Dr. Hardis worked for a civil liberties organization in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Hardis earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science at the University of Michigan, a master of education degree in secondary social studies at The George Washington University, and a master of education degree in school leadership at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He completed the Doctor of Management Program at Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management.
Dr. Hardis was raised in Bethesda, Maryland and has lived with his wife in Washington, D.C., New York City, and Boston. He resides in Beachwood with his wife and two children.
