Grow Your Own Program

Grow Your Own Program

In 2019 Beachwood Schools approached Ursuline College about partnering to provide an alternative path to initial teacher licensure. The discussions led to a formal partnership being approved in June 2019. The partnership aims to increase the number of students and non-teaching staff members, pursuing education as a career field. More specifically Beachwood Schools pursued this partnership to support our Grow Your Own Program, which seeks to support the diversification of teaching staff and administration by increasing the pool of teaching candidates from underrepresented groups. Furthermore, all employees are encouraged to participate in the program as a means of professional growth and development.
