Board Goals Update
The Beachwood Board of Education is currently engaged in a year-long process to develop updated district goals that reflect the evolving needs, priorities, and aspirations of our students, staff, families, and community. This work began during a Board work session in December 2024, shortly after our participation in the Ohio School Boards Association Capital Conference, where we were inspired to take a thoughtful and inclusive approach to long-term district planning.
Since then, we have collaborated with district leaders and Parent Advisory Collaboration Teams (PACT) at each school to help guide the process. A key part of this work involved gathering input through a series of anonymous surveys distributed to staff, students, parents, alumni, and community members. During our July 14, 2025 and August 11, 2025 board meetings, we reviewed the survey responses from all of the stakeholders. We summarized the themes that emerged from each survey which sought to explore the district's strengths, opportunities, aspirations and results.
We are grateful to everyone who took the time to participate and share their perspectives thus far and look forward to continued engagement as we finalize and operationalize the district’s goals.
