Friends of the Beachwood Orchestra

Friends of the Beachwood Orchestra (FOBO) is a cooperative effort between parent volunteers and the Beachwood School District orchestra staff to help support all orchestra members in grades three through 12. FOBO raises funds through annual memberships and fundraisers. These funds go directly to help the students by providing opportunities for trips, scholarships, experiential learning, and more!

FOBO supports the orchestras by:

  • Funding guest clinicians
  • Hiring concert assistants
  • Purchasing concert and event necessities
  • Sponsoring orchestra trips
  • Organizing extra experiences
  • Awarding a yearly senior scholarship
  • Organizing fundraisers

Some recent examples of FOBO's support includes:

  • Purchasing a pizza dinner for all students performing in the Halloween Spooktacular
  • Sponsoring the seventh- and eighth-grade Cedar Point field trip
  • Organizing group tickets to see the Piano Guys at Playhouse Square
  • Hosting a benefit concert featuring professional musicians Daniel Gilbert and Donna Lee as well as members of the Beachwood Orchestras
  • Purchasing decorations and award certificates for the Beachwood High School Orchestra Banquet
  • Fundraisers like the Fall Raffle, Spirit Wear Sale, Valentine's Music-Grams, Benefit Concert, and more!
