Indian American Family Affinity Group Diwali Festival of Lights

BEACHWOOD, OH – The Beachwood Schools Indian American Family Affinity Group invites the community to join in celebrating Diwali, The Festival of Lights, on Sunday, November 2 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Beachwood High School.

Observed during the darkest day of the lunar month (mid-September to mid-November), Diwali symbolizes the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness. The festival is marked by the glow of countless diyas (lamps), firecrackers, delicious sweets, new clothes, making colorful rangolis, and spending time with family and friends.

This year’s Festival of Hope will feature a cultural program with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony led by Beachwood leaders, songs, dances, a fashion show, fun activities, and food. Make plans to join us for a memorable evening of joy, color, and connection.
