Beachwood Swimming & Diving Qualifies 10 for OHSAA State Championship

BEACHWOOD, OH - The Beachwood High School swimming & diving team recorded an exceptional performance at the OHSAA District Championships over the weekend.The Bison finished second overall as a team, while advancing 10 student-athletes to the OHSAA State Championships, the most state qualifiers in program history. The state meet begins with diving on Wednesday, February 25, in Canton, while the swimming preliminaries take place on Thursday, February 26, and the finals on Friday, February 27.

The team qualified in 13 total events - the most by any sport in school history, while also breaking multiple school records along the way. A list of state qualifiers is listed below and is followed by a video where each state qualifier talks about the upcoming state meet.

  • Boys 200 Medley Relay: Sam Park, Ben Keyerleber, Derek Fan, Colin Elwell
