Beachwood Students Explore Human Anatomy in Summer Camp

BEACHWOOD, OH – Twenty-one Beachwood High School students, along with eight students from Fuchs Mizrachi School, participated in the annual Anatomy Camp last week. The annual camp has been a partnership between Beachwood Schools and Case Western Reserve University’s Physician Assistant Program since 2016 and has provided hands-on learning opportunities.

During the three-day camp, students spent time at Beachwood High School for the first two days, learning about general anatomy. The camp concluded with a field trip to the CWRU Anatomy Cadaver Lab on the final day where students examined the brain, heart, lungs, digestive tract, and musculoskeletal system.

Chaperoned by BHS principal Paul Chase and Science teacher Jessica Mitchell, the camp provided students with a chance to explore careers in healthcare and learn from medical professionals.
