Beachwood High School Recognizes National Honor Society Inductees

BEACHWOOD, OH – Beachwood High School celebrated the induction of 36 students into the National Honor Society at a ceremony on Wednesday, October 15, in the auditorium. NHS is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership and character.

The ceremony began with a performance by the Beachwood High School orchestra followed by remarks from BHS Principal Paul Chase. National Honor Society members Tristan Brown, Sienna James, Mirica Woodley, and Anny Tonyushkin followed with brief descriptions about the significance of the four NHS pillars: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character.

This year’s inductees then stepped forward to light a candle, symbolizing their commitment to uphold these pillars, and together, they recited the pledge of induction. Guest speaker Pam Crossman and National Honor Society advisor Dr. Casey Matthews concluded the ceremony with their words of encouragement and inspiration.
