Beachwood High School Named to AP School Honor Roll

BEACHWOOD, OH – The College Board recently announced that Beachwood High School has been named to the 2025 Advanced Placement (AP) School Honor Roll. The award recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students and broadening participation. BHS achieved Silver status.

Schools can earn the Honor Roll recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing their school’s college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing their college readiness.

In 2025, a total of 243 BHS students completed 632 AP Exams, with 88% scoring a three or higher.

BHS offers 29 AP Courses, as well as three in-house College Credit Plus Courses.

College Board’s AP Program enables students to pursue college-level studies – with the opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both – while still in high school. Through AP courses, each culminating in a challenging exam, students learn to think critically, construct solid arguments, and see many sides of an issue – skills that prepare them for college and beyond. Taking AP courses demonstrated to college admissions officers that students have sought the most challenging curriculum available to them.
