Beachwood Schools is excited to welcome students back for the 2026-2027 school year. As we finalize preparations to begin the school year, we have put together some important information for families. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s building principal.

Back-to-School Celebration

  • Join us on Sunday, August 23, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Beachwood High School for our annual Back-to-School celebration. 
  • Families can enjoy free games, activities and food, visit information tables, meet school staff, and learn about district programs and resources.

Annual Update/Required Forms

  • Update your family’s information beginning August 1 by completing the Annual Update form in Infinite Campus.
  • Submit required vaccination records and medical forms prior to the first day of school.
  • Student athletes in grades 7-12 must have an updated Physical Examination Form on file prior to participating in practices and games.

School Calendar/Supplies/Summer Assignments

  • Review the online district calendar for information about the first day of school for students, orientations, and back-to-school events.
  • The calendar for the 2026-2027 school year can be downloaded here.
  • Review supply lists and purchase school supplies. Information about Ohio’s sales tax holiday, which runs August 7-9, is available here.
  • Encourage your child to complete summer assignments prior to the first day of school. 
  • Check your inbox regularly for announcements from the building principals and departments to ensure a smooth start to the school year. 

School Lunch

  • Add funds to your student's lunch account through the Parent Portal. Instructions are available here. 
  • We ask parents of Bryden and Hilltop students to pre-order meals one month in advance. Reminders will be shared about ordering instructions throughout the school year.
  • At this link, you can apply for free and reduced lunch.
    • Scroll down the page on the right hand side and click “Application Packet Free and Reduced Lunch”. This will take you to Infinite Campus and after logging in, select Meal Benefits Application.
  • Additional information:
    • Food service provider AVI does not order pork products for use in school lunches.
    • A vegetarian/vegan meal option (WowButter sandwich) is available every day in every cafeteria.
    • Food service staff have access to students' documented dietary needs, food allergies, and medical restrictions based on information provided in the Annual Update.

Transportation

  • If your child rides the bus, activate the Stopfinder app to get your child’s bus schedule.
  • Complete the Bus Ridership Form if your child is not riding the bus this year. 

First Day of School

The first day of school is August 26. Some grade levels have transition days, resulting in a staggered start. Please carefully review the information below for your child’s start date.

Wednesday, August 26

  • Beachwood Early Childhood Center - Phase-in Schedule
  • Bryden - All 1st and 2nd grade students attend. Kindergarten Drop-In Day. 
  • Hilltop - All students attend
  • Beachwood Middle School - 6th grade Orientation (no 7th or 8th graders)
  • Beachwood High School - 9th grade Orientation and New to the District Student Orientation (Returning 10th, 11th and 12th graders do not attend)

 Thursday, August 27

  • Beachwood Early Childhood Center - Phase-in Schedule
  • Bryden - All students attend
  • Hilltop - All students attend
  • Beachwood Middle School - All students attend
  • Beachwood High School -All students attend

 Friday, August 28

  • Beachwood Early Childhood Center - All students attend

Building schedules are listed below.

  • Beachwood Early Childhood Center: Monday – Friday (9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. depending on the class)
  • Bryden School: Monday – Friday (8:20 a.m. - 3:20 p.m.)
  • Hilltop School: Monday – Friday (7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.)
  • Beachwood Middle School: Monday – Friday (7:45 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.)
  • Beachwood High School: Monday – Friday (8:20 a.m. - 2:56 p.m.) ; Academy Periods with Teachers (7:50 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. and 3:01 p.m. - 3:26 p.m.)
