Mia Knight ('18)

Mia Knight is a recent legend in Bison track and field. In 2018, she broke the state record for the 100 and 200-meter dash and won the team title. Mia continued her success at the University of Pennsylvania as an athlete on the women’s track and field team. Her accolades included Women’s Indoor and Outdoor Ivy League Champion in 2019 and 2020. She also took the No. 2 spot in the University of Pennsylvania’s program record book for the 60-meter dash.

Even more impressive than her athletic success is how Mia performed in the classroom and beyond. At the University of Pennsylvania, Mia excelled academically as an economics major, graduating a year early in 2021. “Being ambitious, goal oriented, while giving 110% despite the outcome has been a true motto for me,” Mia said.

Mia currently lives in Atlanta and works as an account manager at Google. In this role she runs the advertising accounts for multinational companies, including American Express and J.P. Morgan Chase. She credits her experience on the Bison track and field team for creating structure and discipline in her life that has carried over to her career.

“The relationships and team connections I experienced during my time as a student athlete created an amazing transition to both my collegiate and career success to include self discipline, resilience, learning to lead, and handling fear and failure,” she said. “The supportive family that was vested among my peers and coach provided me the space to develop and grow in these areas.”
