Operating Levy

November 6, 2018
New Issue 2 Operating Levy
The New Issue 2 will:
  • Replace $3.5 million in funding lost because of State of Ohio actions

  • Provide the funds for Beachwood City Schools to continue its operations as one of the top-rated school districts in the state

  • Prevent reductions to programs and services

  • Help Beachwood City Schools retain its "Aaa" bond rating which saves taxpayers millions of dollars in interest when the district borrows funds for capital projects

  • Raise the revenue needed to operate the schools for at least 4-5 years

  • Does NOT include a bond levy to fund the elementary consolidation project; this project is on hold

The deadline to register to vote in the November election was October 9th.  Vote-by-mail begins on October 10th with the final deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot being November 3rd at noon.  Visit the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections website to learn more.
