Muslim Affinity Group

Mission Statement

The goal and purpose of our Muslim Affinity group is to be a voice for this part of the Beachwood community in sharing our traditions and raising awareness. We hope to positively impact Beachwood by promoting understanding through celebratory events and education. Our Muslim Affinity group wants to offer a sense of community, provide opportunities for spiritual development, raise awareness about the unique needs of Muslim students and families, and engage in advocacy and educational activities related to Muslim culture and social issues.

Eid al-Fitr Celebration 2023

The Muslim Family Affinity Group hosted an Eid al-Fitr celebration at the Beachwood High School Community Room on April 29, 2023. The event, which was open to the entire Beachwood community, drew more than a hundred guests and featured delicious food, henna, crafts, and speeches. It was a wonderful celebration of culture and community!
