Megan Walsh was appointed to the Beachwood Board of Education in January 2019 and elected in November of 2019. Megan earned a Master of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University with a Children, Youth & Families concentration and School Social Work certificate after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a business certificate at Indiana University-Bloomington. She is a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Supervisor with 10 years of direct service experience with families living in the city of Cleveland. For 8 years, Megan served as the MomsFirst Deputy Project Director at the Cleveland Department of Public Health where she focused on closing the racial disparity in infant mortality through dismantling systemic racism and providing supportive home visiting for pregnant women. Megan currently serves as the Program Manager for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Education at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Passionate about reading and literacy, Megan also serves on the board of Daily Dose of Reading. Megan and her husband, Brandon, moved to Beachwood in 2013 and have two sons, Nolan and Cooper, in the Beachwood Schools.
