This year we will be studying the Western Hemisphere. We began with mapping skills. The children have learned to be good cartographers! Currently, we are studying landforms and regions of the United States. Soon, we will focus on the ancient tribes that lived in Central and South America, as well as, the tribes that have existed in different regions of the United States. We will be learning the history of the United States and our government today.

This month, we are learning a great deal about good citizenship. The children have learned that good deeds go a long way! We are doing our “Pay it Forward” project right now. The slideshow of their project is a delight to watch. In addition, I am so pleased to see all of the small deeds we have noticed that we do for each other throughout the day. They are also more aware of the good deeds that you do for them everyday!
