Kindergarteners have been busy getting acquainted with using the computers.  They have been practicing their mouse skills as well as learning lots of new words such as "dock" and "bookmark".  They have explored using Kidpix and abcya.com.
 
This week kindergarteners will be wrapping up a project they have been working hard on.  We have been focusing on our ABCs and made some beautiful pictures in Kidpix.  This week they are adding the final touches, they are recording their voices!  I'll be sure to post their final projects when we wrap them up.

This week our kindergarteners are busy making voting posters for the election.  The posters will hang in the halls to decorate as we get ready for the election.  Once it is over they will be sent home.

The kindergarteners followed a color coded guide for creating their turkey's for Thanksgiving.  They made a choice about the color for each section based on their what they were doing for Thanksgiving and their food preferences.

This week in Tech class the Kinders will be practicing following directions, retrieving documents in the "get" folder, their mouse skills and the quitting short cut while listening and interacting with Mercer Mayer stories online.  They will hear the story and be able to practice reading along by clinking on individual words.  For each page in the story they are also able to click on animals and objects on the page to see what fun things happen.
