Welcome to Horizons Writing
|
|
 The
Horizons writing program focuses on the writing process and grammar.
The students learn to write independently in a variety of genre,
revising and editing their work in cooperation with their classmates.
Instruction, delivered through individual conferencing to meet each student's needs, includes daily grammar and editing lessons based on the four levels of grammar: parts of speech,
parts of sentences, phrases, and clauses. Students, encouraged to
use active voice in compound and complex sentences, write both fiction
and non-fiction pieces and use technology to enhance publication. |
